We enjoy hometown diners and found a goldmine at Moss's! I tried their homemade chicken salad, which was offered 3 ways, I chose the tomato stuffed... so delicious. I also tried out the fried apples and I was not disappointed, dessert In a cup. Service was excellent, food was prompt and great prices.

We found Moss's Restaurant by happenstance. We were looking for a place to relax with a cup of coffee and pulled in at their sign. The location is a historic school building and provides a unique and interesting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and have great senses of humor. It is a very casual environment and during our visit it was clearly a favorite spot for folks to relax, visit friends and meet new people. We were inspired by the welcome vibe to order breakfast. The chicken fried steak & gravy was delicious, the onion rings were prepared with a beer batter, fresh onions and deep fried to perfection. They also serve corn bread cakes that are delicious. Overall a great experience and we will make Moss's Restaurant one of our regular stops.

Trying a new place. Nothing spectacular, very down to earth good home cooked meals. Country setting, I had the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes & coleslaw with bread and banana pudding with meringue topping. Will had country fried steak, black eyed peas, mashed potatoes & banana pudding with meringue topping. The food was good. The people were so nice. Nice atmosphere. Located in Adams, Tennessee. We will be back. I do suggest if you want free refills to get coffee or tea. Cold drinks are $1.60 per 12oz can.

Sunday Comfort at Moss’s Restaurant – Adams, Tennessee Some meals just feel like home, and at Moss’s Restaurant in Adams, Tennessee, Sunday lunch is exactly that. Nestled inside the historic Bell School, this local favorite serves up the kind of food that makes you slow down and savor every bite. The chicken and dressing is hands-down some of the best in Western Robertson County. It’s everything you want in a classic Southern dish—moist, flavorful dressing with just the right balance of herbs, topped with tender, juicy chicken. Every bite tastes like it came straight from a family recipe that’s been perfected over generations. Pair it with their creamy mashed potatoes, and you’ll be scraping your plate clean. Of course, no Sunday meal is complete without sweet tea—ice-cold, perfectly sweet, and endlessly refillable. The cornbread is just the way it should be: golden, slightly crumbly, and begging to be slathered with butter. And then, there’s the caramel pie—a rich, silky-smooth masterpiece with a flaky crust and a deep caramel flavor that lingers long after the last bite. If you don’t order a slice, you’ll regret it (and probably try to steal a bite from someone else’s plate). Moss’s isn’t just about the food—it’s about tradition. It’s about sitting down to a meal that feels like Sunday at Grandma’s, surrounded by friendly faces and the kind of warmth that only a small-town restaurant can offer. If you’re anywhere near Adams on a Sunday afternoon, do yourself a favor—get the chicken and dressing, sip on some sweet tea, and don’t even think about skipping dessert.
